Addicta Workshop: Peer Reviewer Training Program in Scientific Journals 

A workshop titled "Peer Reviewer Training Program in Scientific Journals" will be held on May 12, 2025, by Addicta: The Turkish Journal on Addictions, the international academic journal of the Turkish Green Crescent Society (Türkiye Yeşilay Cemiyeti).

This program will take place prior to the 6th Global Congress on Behavioral Addictions, organized by the Green Crescent on May 13–14, 2025. It is intended for PhD graduates who wish to improve their skills in peer reviewing, especially in the context of scientific publications in the fields of social and health sciences in Türkiye.

The aim of the workshop is to contribute to the development of reviewers who play a key role in the editorial processes of academic journals operating in the field of academic publishing in Türkiye, and to facilitate learning from international experiences. Participants will gain knowledge about major issues, strategies, editorial guidelines, and new trends in peer review processes in academic publishing at the international level.

Addicta is a periodical publication of the Turkish Green Crescent Society. It is an international peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes scientific studies addressing addiction-related issues. The journal features original research, experimental and clinical studies, policy analyses, case studies, and book reviews from a wide range of disciplines including Health Sciences, Public Health, Criminology, Forensic Medicine, Nursing, Toxicology, Psychiatry, Sociology, Psychology, Psychology of Religion, Educational Sciences, Law, Communication, Philosophy, and Social Work.
